About MindGlow Health

What is MindGlow Health?

We are an online clinic offering behavioral healthcare services through our 100% online platform. We believe mental health matters for everyone and is a cornerstone to overall wellbeing. We offer talk therapy and psychiatry services – including medication management – through online appointments with licensed providers who are trained to support your mental health journey.

Where is MindGlow Health available?

MindGlow Health will launch in Florida in early 2025, with a planned rollout across all 50 states throughout 2025. Join our waitlist to be notified when MindGlow Health is available in your area.

Is MindGlow Health right for me?

At this time, we treat individuals 18 years and older looking for everyday support for mental health or treatment for mental health conditions preventing them from living the life they want. You must reside in a state where MindGlow Health is currently providing treatment.

Although we treat the full spectrum of mental health conditions, online care may not always be a good fit for everyone, specifically those with certain conditions that may be best suited for in-person care.  If this applies to you, your provider will discuss your options with you.

How is MindGlow Health different from other online clinics?

Our company was built on the foundation of a well-established behavioral health organization, where thousands of people nationwide have sought care for their mental health concerns. Drawing on that vibrant legacy of nearly 25 years, we are committed to making high quality mental health services accessible, while inspiring hope and healing in everyone we serve.

How It Works

What services are available with MindGlow Health?

We offer 100% virtual Talk Therapy and Psychiatry & Medication Management services delivered over Zoom by a licensed provider. Each session is secure and private and can be accessed from the comfort of your home.

  • Talk Therapy – Our 45-minute talk therapy sessions are led by highly trained and licensed therapists who specialize in addressing personal challenges, emotional struggles, and mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and more.  Each therapy session is $149.
  • Psychiatry and Medication Management – We offer a comprehensive 45-minute initial evaluation to diagnose emotional and behavioral health conditions, with the option of prescribing and managing medications if needed.  Follow-up sessions, lasting approximately 15 minutes, focus on your progress and ongoing care.  The initial evaluation costs $295, with each follow-up session priced at $200.

We do NOT provide emergency or crisis services. If you are in crisis or feel unsafe, do not use this site.  For immediate assistance, please dial 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or call or text the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988. You can also view our Emergency Resources for additional help.

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Substance-Use Disorder
  • Bipolar Disorder

However, you don’t need a formal diagnosis to seek therapy. People also come to us for help with:

  • Self-improvement or personal growth
  • Stress management
  • Relationship issues
  • Grief and loss
  • Self-esteem or confidence concerns
  • Life transitions (such as career changes or moving)

Your provider will work with you to identify your concerns and the best available treatments for your unique situation, whether it’s a diagnosed condition or a personal challenge you’re facing. Therapy can also help improve your emotional wellbeing, provide clarity, and offer strategies to better cope with life’s ups and downs.

*If you have been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD, your prescriber can offer non-stimulant medication options like Strattera or Intuniv. Please note that we do not prescribe Schedule 2 stimulant medications, such as Adderall or Ritalin. Therapy can also be a helpful tool in managing ADD/ADHD symptoms. If you are experiencing symptoms or have an existing diagnosis, we recommend seeking a licensed specialist in your community for a comprehensive evaluation.

Types of Treatments

What’s the difference between therapy and psychiatry?

Therapy and psychiatry are two distinct types of services that cater to different aspects of mental healthcare, and both are vital in managing mental wellness.

  • Therapy involves talking to a licensed mental health professional, such as a  therapist or counselor, to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Therapy focuses on providing support, resolving conflicts, and developing coping skills to manage emotional and psychological challenges. Common approaches include cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and other psychotherapeutic approaches. Therapy does not involve medications.
  • Psychiatry, on the other hand, is a medical field where psychiatric providers such as a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner, diagnose and treat mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. They conduct medical evaluations and are licensed to prescribe and manage medications.  Some may also provide therapy, but often they focus on medication management in collaboration with therapists for comprehensive care. Medication is only prescribed if it is deemed a safe, effective, and appropriate treatment option for you.

How often will I need appointments?

The frequency of your appointments depends on your individual needs and treatment plan.

  • In therapy, most clients begin with weekly sessions for consistent support and time to address challenges and progress.  Some clients may benefit from more frequent sessions initially, with the option to adjust over time.  Your therapist will collaborate with you to find a schedule that works best for you.
  • In psychiatry, appointments are typically scheduled monthly, though your provider may adjust the frequency based on your specific treatment plan.  Follow-up appointments are important and, depending on your medication plan, required to monitor your progress and to make any necessary adjustments to your care.

Your provider will work with you to create a schedule that aligns with your mental health goals and best supports your well-being.

What medications do you prescribe?

Our approach to prescribing medications is centered on providing the most effective and tolerable treatments for our clients’ mental health needs, in strict accordance with all applicable regulations.

While we do not prescribe certain controlled substances such as opioids or stimulants (Adderall, Ritalin, and other medications), we offer a comprehensive range of medications that are effective for managing various mental health conditions.

We understand that every individual is unique, and our providers work closely with each client to develop a personalized treatment plan. By following the latest clinical guidelines and research, we ensure that all medications prescribed are safe, appropriate, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?

Research has shown that online therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy for patient satisfaction and treatment outcomes, and because it offers more flexibility and convenience, it provides additional advantages. However, online therapy might not be for everyone. Those struggling with severe mental health conditions or requiring in-patient services may not be a good fit for online therapy.

Do you offer in-person treatment?

MindGlow Health is 100% virtual; we do not offer in-person treatment.

Are group sessions available?

We currently offer one-on-one, individualized sessions, but we plan to expand our offerings to include group therapy and couples’ therapy sessions in the future, so stay tuned!

What should I expect from an online therapy session?

Your MindGlow Health provider will be a licensed mental health professional who will take the time to understand your concerns and provide non-judgmental expert support. Each 45-minute confidential session can take place in the comfort of your own private, personal space. Together with your provider, you will collaborate on treatment goals and methodologies to meet your therapeutic needs.

What should I expect from an online psychiatry session?

Your MindGlow Health psychiatric specialist will be a licensed provider with prescriptive authority who possesses the clinical knowledge and skillset to assess, discuss, and treat most mental health conditions with appropriate medication. Your first session will be 45 minutes long and each follow-up session will be 15 minutes. You will meet regularly to ensure your condition is improving, discuss any side effects or new symptoms, and make any necessary adjustments. Your care team is available to answer questions as needed to ensure you receive the greatest possible benefit from your treatment regimen.

Do you have a refund and cancellation policy?

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment for a full refund up to 24 hours before your appointment start time through your MindGlow Health account.

If you cancel or reschedule your appointment within 24 hours of the appointment start time, you will be issued a refund less a $75 late cancellation fee.

Does MindGlow Health charge no-show fees for missed appointments?

If your scheduled appointment time no longer works for you, we ask that you cancel, reschedule, or contact your care team before your appointment start time. If you do not sign in for your scheduled appointment by 10 minutes after its start time, you will be considered a no-show and will not be eligible for a refund.

Can I contact my provider directly?
